Aside from being a beautiful island with a rich heritage, Malta has been ranked No.1 in terms of LGBTQIA+ rights by The ILGA-Europe’s accreditation for nine years in a row. With a rating of 87% compared to the UK’s 52%, Malta is one of the world’s safest havens for the queer community.
A party is only a party if everyone is respected and safe, so we knew Malta was the ONLY placed we wanted to take our weekender abroad!
The Island
As well as being a true ally to the community, Malta is a total dream destination to visit for tourists. As well as partying with us, you can expect to enjoy…
Fantastic transport options (Uber and Bolt are extremely well serviced)
Venues and hotels no more than 15 minutes away
Beautiful coastlines and historic old towns to explore
Incredible local cuisine
The setting for Gladiator, Game of Thrones and Popeye! What’s not to love?!
The Venues
Malta has some of the best party venues we have ever seen! The festival will take place across several venues including Cafe Del Mar (a gorgeous sunset venue in St. Paul’s Bay), Gianpula Village (an incredible 6,000 capacity multi-room venue) Bora Bora (our exclusive hotel) and Little Armier Beach (our very own private beach!)
More details on these venues and the artists playing will be released in the coming months.
Flights
Anyone attending Hoopla Malta 2026 will need to arrange their own transport to the island, but don’t panic! There will be lots of flights available from the UK to Malta in September 2026.
However are expecting high volumes of bookings from the UK during this period, so we’d recommend having a think about where you can fly from, and contemplate flying out a day before the event to ensure you don’t miss out!!
